James 5:13-16

The soft launch was yesterday, and what a start it was! I'm still digesting the sermon.

Last night Irene came over and we spent a good amount of time praying for everything and everyone. It reminded me of the good old days when Haein was my roommate--she and I made a pact to pray every Sunday. This was a year ago and we did that for two years. Although Haein has moved back to north Jersey, we continue to share a tremendous bond as sisters in Christ, and that bond is constantly renewed whenever prayers are answered and when more are needed.

To this day, in spite of the distance between us and our hectic schedules, we'll still call each other at any given time and just pray. Perhaps you too can make a pact with someone to pray every Sunday night.

It says in James 5:13-16:

Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Ministry team - Let's continue to pray for repentance in our hearts, so that God could make his home in us; and pray for the repentance of others, so that they can come back home to God.
